Know God as Our Father in Heaven This Father’s Day
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.
Kick off Father’s Day with a smile—it’s time to celebrate God as our Father in Heaven! Picture the best dads: flipping pancakes in goofy aprons, teaching you to ride a bike with a proud cheer, or dropping classic “dad humor” that makes you groan. They’re awesome, but our Heavenly Father steals the show! Imagine God, with a grin wider than a backyard barbecue and a love bigger than all of the dad’s tool sheds combined, saying, “You’re my kid, and I’m crazy about you!” His authority makes us His children, a Father to all who feel fatherless, inviting every soul into His family with open arms. This forever love, rock-solid through all time, transforms lives by giving us a place to belong.
Reflect today: How does God’s dad-like love spark joy in your soul? His care empowers you to share that happiness with others. Let’s make Father’s Day a riot of joy, because our Father in Heaven changes lives!
Pray, thanking God for His love, and share a moment of joy with Him today.
Journal about a time God’s love felt like a father’s proud pat on the back and how 1 John 3:1 or Psalm 68:5 inspires you to welcome others to Him.
Share a fun, kind act (e.g., a silly dad joke, a warm hug) with someone needing a lift, and post your story with #JRTyndaleMinistries to brighten others’ day.
God, my Father in Heaven, thank You for Your authority that calls me Your child. Help me cheer with You, reflect on Your love, and spread Your joy like a dad’s best moment. Amen.
