Cling to God’s Promises
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
Ever plan a picnic only to get rained out, leaving you grumbling with soggy sandwiches? Life’s letdowns sting, but God’s promises are like a sunny forecast that never fails. Picture Jesus, with a playful nudge and a twinkle in His eye, saying, “My promises stick, count on me!” His authority backs every word, gently urging others to grab hold of His hope. Those promises, rock-solid through every downpour, turn disappointments into trust. How has God’s faithful word cheered your heart today?
Pray, thanking Jesus for a promise that’s held you up, and ask Him to strengthen your trust today.

Lord, thank You for Your promises that never fail. Help me hold Your word tight and share Your hope with others. “Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens” (Psalm 119:89 NIV). Amen.
